The Sound Blows You Away, the Sub Stays Out of Your Way
BIG SOUND IN A COMPACT SUBWOOFER
You don’t need to go big to get a huge sound. Although extremely compact for both portable systems and fixed installations, the UMS’s tuned bass-reflex enclosure pushes a whopping 450 watts of peak power from its twin 10-inch cone drivers.
This beast can bellow, without bottoming out: Each driver channel’s built-in circuitry assures a smooth, clean, and powerful bass response across the 25-160Hz operating range at a peak of 127 dB.
A TEAM PLAYER
As a single sub or stacks of multiple units for even greater low-frequency extension, UMS subwoofers pair perfectly with UPM Series compact loudspeakers in mixing suites, small theatres, houses of worship, and portable audio-visual systems.
Any Way You Want It, That’s the Way You Need It
The self-powered UMS-1P fuels each cone driver with a dedicated channel of Class AB/bridged power with selectable voltage ranges. This internal amplifier protects against surges and interference, giving you a plug-and-play low-end solution.
POWER SMART WITH INTELLIGENTDC
The UMS-1XP externally powered version requires the 2-channel MPS‑482HP power supply or the MPS‑488HP 8-channel power supply, which deliver both DC power and balanced audio to Meyer Sound passive loudspeakers over a single cable. This also allows for extensive cable runs in excess of 150 feet without AC conduits.
With the optional RMS software and RMServer, you can monitor the UMS-1P’s output voltage and load current parameters at a comfortable distance, right from a Mac or Windows computer.
STRONG AND FLEXIBLE
The drivers are protected by a durable, premium birch plywood cabinet and powder-coated, hex-stamped steel grille. A top-side pole mount fits an optional loudspeaker stand, and you can choose custom-colored enclosures with or without carrying handles.
